1. GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS (TENNESSEE)

5. SIERRA NEVADA (CALIFORNIA)

Where: The Sierra Nevada lines the eastern border of the state of California with a tail that spills into Nevada. It is home to the world-famous Lake Tahoe.

6. ALASKA RANGE (ALASKA)

7. MOUNT RAINIER (WASHINGTON)

10. CATSKILL MOUNTAINS (NEW YORK)
